Don't Do This at Home
Hi Guys,
My first professional background is an electrical engineering. But most of my professional life I'm in IT field working for big financial corporations. When I consider things like cars, watches or anything related to mechanics and technology I look at it from technical aspect first then aesthetical. Not that aesthetical part is not important. So, what comes to watches it's always the mechanism is interested me the most. In the office where I work there are only two other guys who I can talk about watches. But they're not interested in technical aspect of the watch. All we can talk is about prices, rarity of Rolex SS watches, rumors kind of nonsense. When I start conversation about technical aspect of the watch it quickly become one way conversation. So, often I miss conversation with someone who understand and can share similar interests regarding the watches. For this reason I turn to internet where I can find ton of information. But more often this information is not that informative. Recently I found the below video that IMO is the best so far I saw on internet. I decide to share these two parts of the same story about Rolex 3130 calibre. It's fascinating how years of watch evolution holds in such a small piece of mechanism. Enjoy as I did: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBPjnI2hnoc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0Dp-Q78Uhw |
