This was the Google+ social network, and not Google in its entirety.

Just didn't know if people would assume everything. Like their Gmail accounts. Honestly, the Google+ network was a flop anyway.

Yeah. Between them and the other social media giants, it's getting ridiculous. Sadly, the sheeple perpetuate it.

Am I the only one that’s suspicious as to whether or not these are actual breaches or simply companies giving up (selling or otherwise) information under the guise of a breach?

I don't doubt that either. But, most likely just simple laziness on the part of the company. Or because the platform was such a flop, no money to keep security up to date.

My issue is that they sat on the data-breach and didn't inform.

People will value privacy more in the future. The best part is imagine all the lesser known companies with your data being hacked.breached daily. Google is the one we hear about because they are big.

I'd venture to say they will continue to hand over more of their privacy and along with it, their freedoms. It's already happening.
