2006 GMT Master II ?
I am thinking of upgrading to the newer model of the submariner which I love. Any thoughts on what this watch would go for in a used marketing on Ebay? I do have box and papers. My local Rolex dealer will do a trade at 75% of current retail price towards a more exensive watch - but it has to be an upgrade watch - i.e. not a new Sub.

Well first what new model Submariner do you mean the new white gold blue dial one?.If you mean S.Steel the only difference between a 1989 sub and todays model. Is just a SEL bracelet non lug hole case different case letter stamp and a few minor fonts like Rolex Rolex Rolex.IMHO I would keep the GMT just get a few bezel inserts,,then you could have a instant new looking watch for very little money.

Thanks Padi56. I currently have a 2006 model GMT - Master II. In comparing it to the new Sub it looked smaller and I like the new bezel. Is'nt the case larger?

I think you should be able to get around 3.5-4k USD for it if it is in mint condition (correct me if i am wrong)!

75% of list on a 2+ year old GMT-II is a pretty good trade value. What's current retail, $5500? So you'd be getting over $4k in trade. (Of course, that makes it less likely that you'll get a good discount on the new purchase.)
