Which one would you sell and why?

Dear fellow Watchonista

I am planning to change my collection due to potential new incoming beginning of 2019 (according to my AD/AP Boutique). I am waiting since 1,5 years for a Patek Aquanaut 5167 and 1 year for an AP RO Jumbo 15202. Limit I set myself are max 5 watches.

Current collection:

Rolex SD 16600 2003
Rolex Daytona 116520 2008
Rolex YM 116655 2016
Rolex BLRO 126710 2018
Blancpain Villeret Ultra Slim Steel 2009

Which one would you sell and why?

The YM just doesn't do it for me. That would be the one to go for me.... Sweet collection, btw!

The Blancpain doesn't float my boat. So that's the one I'd be selling.

I might be on the minority here but I can easily see myself picking the AP or PP over 16600.

Sell Blancpain Villeret and agree with others, forgo the Patek Aquanaut 5167 unless you plan to flip it fast for extra $$$ (disclaimer: am not a flipper so am not a fan of that strategy yet understand the idea behind it). Had a 5167a, they're just not durable, service is forever it seems as you know, and....

Maybe invest the funds into another hobby that brings joy into your / your family's life? How about a nice hi-fi / home theater perhaps and enjoy the music

You're on a Rolex forum - everyone will tell you to ditch the Blancpain (I don't agree)

I would not listen to anyone who says sell th YM. People don’t realize it but the PM RG YM is one of the most well thought out watches there is

Matte Dial

Red YACHT-MASTER writing

Date Complication

Oysterflex

Rose Gold

RG hands and markers

One of the most comfortable

I would sell the Daytona, I may be a heretic, but, I've never liked them.

The first three (in the case) shouldn't go anywhere but on your wrist.

Agreed... The AP would be much nicer IMO.
The Aquanaut is another story... Not my Favorite PP...

With your 5 max rule, I’d sell the Blancpain, buy the Jumbo, and skip the Aquanaut (as in, keep the other 4). If you need to flip 2, I’d flip the Blancpain and SD. I would probably never wear the SD with a Jumbo, Aquanaut, PepsiC, Daytona and RG YM.

Good luck!

Blancpain Villeret Ultra Slim Steel 2009

Which one would you sell and why?

I’d sell the BLRO.

The SD, now that’s a man’s mans watches!
The Daytona, well that is sharp as heck! It’s at home being casual but would like great with a tux.
The YM, well that’s for when your feeling a little loose and sexy.
And the Blancpain, well that is for when you mean business, and I mean business out for a late supper and some dancing!
The BLRO to me tries to be a little casual and yet a little dressy but doesn’t seem to nail either on the head.

It’s a tough choice and a great collection. Good luck from the peanut gallery!!

The YM is awesome.

The Blancpain is the odd man out here. And if there is one SS sportswatch that can act as a dress watch it’s a Jumbo.

I’m really not a fan of the 5167 unfortunately

Sounds like you have 2 incoming?

I'd get rid of these two.

Rolex YM 116655 2016
Blancpain Villeret Ultra Slim Steel 2009

I'd cut my losses on the Blancpain and sell it. I'd sell the 116600 also.
