New (to me) polar 216570

First post here. Picked up my first ever Rolex a few days ago, a pre-owned polar 216570 from Tourneau in Las Vegas. I live in Vegas, so I’m fortunate to have such a plentiful selection of fine watches all over town. But I can tell you, there are practically no Rolex sport models to be found, even here. I’ve been on the hunt for a BLNR, but refuse to pay over retail, so I’ll likely be waiting/hunting for a while. In the meantime, I stumbled across this fantastic pre-owned Explorer a few days ago at Tourneau, and I just couldn’t pass it up.

I’m no collector, but I have a couple/few decent pieces I’ve accumulated over the years. My previous daily driver is the Omega Planet Ocean 600M 43.5mm, which has been fantastic ever since I bought it about 5 years ago.

But dang, this Rolex is simply on another level. It is so balanced and comfortable. I can wear it literally all day with zero fatigue or discomfort. I practically forget it’s there, which is essentially impossible with the giant PO.

And as an added bonus, my Watch Tracker app tells me I’m running +0.2s/day. Are you freaking kidding me??!!

Anyway, cheers and hello.

I have the same one and I love it. I wanted to add a black dial to my list but didn’t want to have 2 of this same model. So I picked up a GMT II and I have to say it’s going to give my polar a run for its money. But I’ll hav Enzo issues switching between the 2.

Congrats! It’s a great watch. I just bought my second one last month. Had a G-Serial but sold it a few years back. Was a mistake, so found a new one I couldn’t pass on. Enjoy!

I've had my Exp II (polar) for six years now, and still love as much as the day I collected it. Fantastic watch, very underrated. Congrats on the purchase and wear it in good health.

Great watch. My first Rolex. I got hooked on the brand at that point. There's nothing quite like Rolex for cost versus quality and there's no other Rolex quite like the Polar.

After the white dialled Daytona, this my next favourite white dialled reference. Perfect for summer months...
