What happened to the boutique exclusive models??
the 15400 blue is no more boutique exclusive along with too many other watches (including limited editions)

I see only 9 boutique watches:

I’m not sure why their site shows so few but it’s possible they’re updating it. The 15400 blue dial is definitely still boutique exclusive.

I have asked my local AD to see if they can obtain many different pieces in the last few months (all ceramic offshore, camo offshore, any of the perpetuals) and they told me they’re all boutique exclusive.

Initially I wrote back to my AD saying it’s not possible. According to the AP website they are not exclusive. He then forwarded copies of the email directly from AP so I couldn’t argue much further.

It seems to me this is already the beginning of phasing out ADs and prioritizing in demand pieces for boutiques.

AP authorized dealers are about as valuable as McDonald’s is if you’re looking for A5 wagyu.

Have you tried looking for a blue 15400 at an AD? Might as well be looking for a unicorn.

there is plenty of examples of watches that never carried that term that an AD has never gotten as well. Its meaningless as AP distributes almost all "hot" watches to boutiques and not AD's. 15407 was never listed as a boutique only and i have never heard of a single AD getting one... minus marcus when they were still an AD but they were also the UK distributor at the time so that explains that.

Totally agree with you.. When i bought the 15202, it was not listed as boutique exclusive, and we all know how rare this piece is along with the 15407 and many others "non-boutique" models.

This is becoming a non-issue ...

not only because of the AP long term strategy to just sell via boutiques and on-line, but also because of the current climate of Desirable APs...

In the recent past, the only reason to avoid the Boutiques was in a hope of getting a discount... Now, the Boutique is the best deal!

I had an AP tell me that I would need a 100% deposit, and then they would "see" if they could secure a blue dial ROC - if they could, They would ship for $200..

The AP boutique (same state, 30 min driving distance from said AD), accepted a 20% deposit - received the watch within 2 months, shipped for free with some AP swag...

I wouldn't dream of looking to an AD anymore...

15202s used to be found at ADs pretty regularly. That changed about 18 months ago.

The blue 15400st was added back to the "Boutique Exclusive" list on the AP website.
