60's vintage Tudor help please!
Hi Guys,
Im a complete newbie to vintage watches but have just bought this Tudor Oyster case with date 'Tudor 25 Rubies Auto-Prince 2484 off ebay. Is it genuine? Is there any other information any of you guys can give me about this watch. What bracelet or band will fit this watch. I would like a 60's vintage bracelet but I'm not keen on taking out a second mortgage to buy one, whats a reasonable price? 7996/o is marked on the case as is 653****. |

Watch looks fine nice small rose Tudor the original bracelet most properly the 7835/19But any Tudor single lock bracelet with the correct lug size should fit. As for price cannot help you there but a lot cheaper than the Rolex one, I bought a tudor one about 4/5 years back from a AD cost me £80.

IMO, it seems to me a refinished dial. Also, if the serial number is 7-digit, then it is problematic. Serial number of tudor at this age should be 6 numeric digits the most.

thanks for the info guys. Its a six digit serial number, i just hit too many stars!
I wish i'd got it for $80 and not the 400 I paid for it on ebay! Still, its the model and age I wanted and was running out of time finding it for a birthday present. |

Thanks for the help guys. The serial number is 6 digits, i must have mistyped, sorry.
I want to give this watch as a 40th birthday gift, would having it polished to remove some of the scratches be a big no no? |
