Opinion on this 16750 gmt please

Hi everyone,

Would love to hear you opinions on this 16750, serial number starts 672 which puts it at 1980 I believe. I think the insert might be a service replacement other than that it looks good to me with my limited knowledge.

Opinion on this 16750 gmt please

Are the crown guards supposed to be that angular on the top? Almost flat?

I think you may want to post pics of the the clasp codes, endlinks, between lugs.

The clasp is stamped VE, endlinks are 580 but looks to be laser etched instead of stamped.

Thank you for all your help. I don’t think it’s a service dial, looks like a mk1 dial to me with the lined up AHC, slim, tall coronet.

The hands I’m really not sure on. I think the case has been reworked by LAWW.

The bracelet clasp is certainly correct, not sure if it’s a service replacement or if it’s been refinished. It’s stamped 78360 instead of laser etched so it isn’t that new if it is a replacement.

Thank you all once again for the help.

Correct, you have a Mark I dial which is not the first dial that was found in the 16750 - the Mark II was the first generation dial. I don't know who came up with the Mark numbers for the 16750 but they are not in the proper order.

Interesting, so does that mean it is a service dial?

Check out the reference library. There are a few threads there on GMT dials.

It's not a service dial. Is it correct - that is something you need to decide.
