I tried twice but couldn’t fall in Love with the BLNR

I know the BLNR aka Batman is the all time favourite for the majority of us here in TRF. But I am in the minority. I tried to fall in Love with the BLNR but somehow the black and blue bezel and dial just doesn’t please my eyes.

I also had the LN and strangely I enjoyed it much more than the BLNR.

I sold my used BLNR and bought a new directly from an AD. I thought the new BLNR will be different and I will like it. It did not happen. I still don’t like the Batman.

So having said all of this, I am hereby announcing that my BLNR is up for sale and I will be keeping my CHNR as a GMT.

I agree. It has limited wearability. I like the idea and respect the significance and accomplishments of the first TT Ceramic bezel...but just can’t love it.

Maybe you need to try a third time, just to be really sure.

I can relate to some of the things you mentioned about the BLNR.
Had one and it’s been gone for a while, dont miss it at all.
Replaced it with the PM Green dial.

So will you be selling it AT or below MSRP?

Everyone has his preferences, but I can't understand why a new BLNR would be more appealing than a used one, unless there were some serious issues with the used one and still, the bezel colors would be the same either way.

If you like the LN better, go with it and don't look back.

I’m in the same boat. I’ve had that watch 4 times. And soon I realized every person and their dog has it, I’ve run into at least couple others who had the same watch. So that turned me off. I’m happy with my EXP II. ! overhyped IMHO.

You did the right thing.

If you don't get that little endorphin rush when you look down at your wrist then it just isn't going to work.

Never sang to me either. Only once I bought it and did love it for a bit and then it sat in the case. Sold it and have never missed it once.

I dont think the rootbeer is going to satisfy your thirst as your one and only GMT.

Heres an old picture to fuel your thirst a bit more.

I have been wearing one for the last few days. It’s not for me. I get the attraction but the black and blue is not something i love. I’ll probably buy the LN at some point. It is a beautiful watch however!

You are not the only one who feels this way. I’ve had mine since August and I just can’t seem to stay in love with it.

It's either love at first sight and love when on the wrist or it's NOT. The watch (or any watch) is either IT or it's not. Hard to try to love a watch

I couldn't love BLNR either, not enough contrast. Looks nice in the sun, but otherwise often looks all black and can't see the blue GMT hand. To me, the LN black bezel with green hand and dial text looks more balanced.
