Displaying watches with leather bands
I thought this thread would go best here, as seeing that almost everyone wears their Panerai watches on their standard leather bands.
My question is this: If you have a standard display case with "pillows" (such as this case or this one), does keeping your watch in there wear down the leather over time? I'm asking this because after a while, weeks, months, or years, all leather bands show some sign of wear when worn on the wrist. Do these display cases also cause this type of wear (whether in a smaller amount, the same, or larger)? Thanks.

A lot of people just lay them flat in drawers. I do that and sometimes I leave them buckled up on the same hole that I wear them on. I don't use the pillows, etc.

Not sure about wearing them down, but it can stretch them. My winder in okay for the Daytona, but my only Panerai that fits it, is my 98, however, there is pressure on the strap. Slightly worried it will stretch it out a bit.
Most people with Pams, have a number of straps, so wear is not a big concern. Now, When I get my Breguet, not sure if it will go on the winder.(ie pillow)
