Real cyclops?

Evening chaps

Is this a genuine glass crystal? Compared to my Sub, the magnification seems low.

Its a new to me watch... Given the chipped nature of the crystal, I’m minded to think its as old as the watch.

Any reference photos would be handy.

Thanks,

It's hard to say whether or not the crystal is original. The Oysterquartz had a fair run beginning in the '70s. It is definitely possible that the crystal was replaced as some time. Clearly there have been a bunch of recently sold newer models with low mag cyclops. There's no guarantee that all the past ones were perfect.
