Movements indicated on dials
I just realized something very interesting, all the watches with new generation movement such as 3235 and 3285 have a crown between the swiss made. All the older generations with 3135 and 3186 don't. I realized that because I have a deepsea dblue first generation and now they all got crowns at 6. Was hoping they discontinue it and not mass produce it but oh well.

I'm not sure, but I think the consensus has been that this is just one more dial variation that might be something else to throw off the counterfeiters.

There have been movement updates before without external markings to indicate such.

I feel it started with all the models and updated movements that featured in Basel 2018.. Because didn't both the 3235 and 3285 got introduced in Basel?

It's not about feelings, just facts. Generally the crown at 6 denotes the newer movements but not always. SD43 was released without the crown in year one versus more recent dials with the crown. They all have the new 3235.

The DJ41 has the new 3235 movement but doesn't have a crown on the dial.
