Fully White Gold Skydweller Blue Dial

Hello All,

I recently came across a blue dial skydweller thinking it was stainless steel. When I asked my AD about it he told it was the rarest white gold skydweller out.

Does anyone know about this?

Any advice would help.

I was at an AD event a couple of months ago and they had white dial SkyD that was WG. They said it was a limited run, but I had no idea about the blue dial.

any WG sky dweller is rare... its why they were discontinued. No one bought them.

I prefer them to the SS and especially with the SS dials like the blue one.

Point being "rarity" as far as that goes doesn't matter one bit. If it did then it wouldn't still be at an AD a year after discontinuation. Congrats on the pickup i would be seriously tempted if i saw one

I picked this up from a different AD that only had it for 3 days before I saw it. My goto AD only received one and sold it to a different VIP.

I wasn’t even in the market to buy a piece but I felt I couldn’t let this opportunity pass me by.

The more I look at it I’m glad I did it and thank you! I’m enjoying this SkyD a lot!

WG has been discontinued since last year's basel world. Many, many AD's still have WG sky dwellers. I doubt Rolex has been shipping new ones this entire time.

Sounds like a sales pitch to me. Doesn't matter though because its a great watch

3 days could be accurate if the AD was able to return an existing WG sky dweller back to Rolex for a dial swap. That exact thing happened at an AD with a WG BLRO. I tried it on last year when its had the black dial. I was there a few months ago and they had a blue dial version.... their response "we just got this back from Rolex, our rep suggested we send it back to get the dial swapped" Same watch as the year before, but with a different dial

Appreciate the info about dial swapping, I’ll definitely ask the AD’s if this happens.

But I highly doubt it was a dial swap I keep an eye out on what these 2 AD’s have in stock and after the holidays majority of their inventory was depleted. Besides DJ’s in stock.

Regardless it’s a stunning watch.

Fully White Gold Skydweller Blue Dial

For sure this is a rare watch because I also thought they had discontinued the WG SkyDweller. Regardless of the material, the caliber 9001 is an amazing movement.

It was my first PM watch I purchased and I so happy I chose the Sky Dweller. I was completely sure I was going to walk out with a Day Date, but when I saw this reference, I was floored.

Please OP, can you post more pics. There is nothing more beautiful than Rolex proprietary white gold. The deep buttery hue of white and yellow cannot be replicated. I have a white gold Submariner and Cannot believe how stunning the material is in different light. Especially low light where it’s hard to tell if it’s white or yellow gold.

You definitely got a stunner on your wrist. Congratulations on the purchase. Here is my annual calendar Rolex (pretty darn cool to say):

YG or RG period. WG looks like stainless steel wouldn’t waste my hard earned cash on it.

How can one differentiate the WG variant blue dial with the SS blue dial. Watches look identical. The dial is exactly the same.

weight and metal color. You can tell the shade of WG vs SS. Its not that difficult
