Moto GP Race Bike in Barcelona

I was in Barcelona last week for the World Mobile Congress. While there, it was fortunate that my hotel driver was a part time engineer for Haas F1 racing and also a Moto GP fanatic. I asked him if he knows of any Moto 2 or 3 for sale since i always wanted one for static display in my living room. He made a few phone calls and in an hour we were on our way to the works shop of the Baiko Racing team in Catalunya.

We were met by the team Manager, Mr. Anscari who showed me this KTM Moto 3 250cc used by American sensation Joe Roberts last 2017.



This is his riding suit:





Next he showed me the Kalex Moto 2 600cc bike that placed 2nd overall in the European Moto 2 Championship last year.







My friend bought the KTM Moto 3 and I am negotiating to buy a spare Kalex Moto 2 which they will still assemble. They will email me the specs and price. It will carry the livery of the Repsol Honda Moto 2. Hopefully, we can make a deal.

I didn't know Repsol Honda was fielding a Moto2 team this year.

You are right about that. I just want them to copy the livery of the Repsol bike which is my favorite.

That Kalex Moto 2 GP bike is a thing of beauty. Only wish I had the skills to ride one properly.

That is why I would opt to put it on static display since I also don’t have the skills to ride it as it was designed, a pure bred race bike.

Ahaha! That is a nice picture. I like how the dog looks at the camera. And the bikes are cool. Do you store them in the apartment?

Not usually.
We do have a special bike that's being restored to the original glory, that will find a permanent spot indoors, once finished.

A motogp, moto2 or moto2 bike would be good contestants for that, if the other half agrees. My husband is lucky there, I guess hahaha
