My first Rolex - Incoming!!
Hello everyone, first let me say thanks for all the great posts and education I've gotten from this forum. I'm new to Rolex but I've learned so much, mostly from this site. About a month ago I got my Wife a Datejust as an early Valentine's Day present. It was her first as well. Well we both fell in love with it and I decided I'd like to get one too (40th birthday present to myself I guess). For the first time in my life my wrists have been large enough to pull off a real watch. I was also getting tired of my Apple Watch buzzing my brain constantly. Well, today I got the call that this watch was available if I wanted it. I couldn't get to my AD fast enough. I don't see myself getting any more, but I couldn't be happier with this gorgeous watch. Congrats to both of you, especially for picking up a not-easy-to-find watch!
My first watch on a bracelet was a Citizen Eco-drive when I was 13. Even with all the links removed, I could easily fit two fingers between my wrist and the bracelet

Happy 40th! That Sub is a great way to celebrate. There is just so much to like and appreciate about that watch. Rolex definitely does what they do perfectly. And that Sub is the perfect size as well. Hope you enjoy it in great health, along with your wife's DJ for many years to come.
