AP 44mm RG or Day Date II (yellow gold)
Hey guys,
Wanted some opinions on here. Now i know these are two entirely different watches, probably both different tiers and suited for different occasions and I've been seeing a lot of trade "this for this threads", figured I'd start one in the dilemma i'm having. Now i own the 44mm rg roo, but I can't help but feel like the 41mm DDII's won't be as available they are now as they've been discontinued, by the day they will be more less so. Sometimes I think to myself if it'd be a good idea to trade my roo for the DDii with a little extra cash in my pocket, some days I feel like the 44 is such an entirely different watch in a whole other league. Sometimes I do wish I had an all gold bracelet, bah... let me know what you'd pick. |

Both are on my wishlist. However, if I had to pick only one, it would be the RG AP.

I’ve owned both, and sold the 44RG for a different piece, regretted selling it and had to have back.
I say 44RG all day!!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

Keep the ROO for sure, I had the DD2 and liked it but then when the DD40 came out the oversized bezel did put me off the watch so I eventually sold it. ROO is much better balanced.

Honestly not a massive fan of either, only because the all gold DD is too blingy for me and the ROO is too big. But for you Id say if you dress more casual (t shirt, jeans or shorts) then Id go for the ROO all day. If formal attire is your thing then perhaps the DD is better suited. Perhaps look at it like that.

I completely understand this situation! I moved from the RG daytona 116505 to the 44 rg loved the daytona however, the 44rg was always my grail. Now that I've got it I love the 44rg however, I'm still always itching for the full bracelet rolex and now I'm considering getting the daytona as well. So to answer your question best option is to get both! I'm trading my greytheme 42 and add some cash to get the daytona back

AP 44mm RG or Day Date II (yellow gold)
Not exactly the same. I picked the 42 over the 44 (the old model) AP. Then added a DD40 for the full bracelet. Go to piece is still the AP. Better versatility Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
