Explorer 1 help
Hello all. I have been eyeing the explorer 1 for some time. However with slim wrists I have limited myself to the 36mm, either 14270 or 114270. So I may have found one local to me at approx $5000. Just looking for some more expert opinions on it. Is the box original for that piece as a 2005 watch? If anything else should stand out I'd be happy to hear about it.

How slim? I have 6" wrists and the Exp1 39mm fits me perfectly. I tried on the 36mm, also fit but the 39mm modern build/quality beats the 36mm any day.
You can't go wrong with either, all depends if you want a more vintage look/feel over a modern piece. Have you tried on the 39mm before you decide? Box should be your last concern. Have you seen the COA details and does it match the serial number on the case? Has it been serviced? If so, when and by who? Looking at the dial it looks fine, but I would always flesh out the details first. |

So I can't find an actual Exp 39mm anywhere to try but I have tried the OP 39mm and while nice and I certainly like the build of the new models I do prefer the size of the 36mm. Haven't viewed the watch yet as I wanted to find out more about it as it does seem to be a good price. Will enquire more about service history and hopefully set up viewing. Thanks for your help.
