Further UK price increase rumours?
Hi all,
Is there any truth in the rumours I have been hearing of a further (post Feb increase) UK price increase of all Rolex models? If so, what is the reason for all these sudden increases? Thanks, R.J.B |

It is possible if the pound continues to go south
They are trying to level up prices according the euro currency

Not sure what the current position is, but when I spoke to my AD last month he said that Rolex were watching the GBP/Euro exchange rate closely and if the Pound fell any further against the Euro then there would definitely be an instant 10% increase across the entire range.
In short, nobody knows (not even Rolex)... so watch this space

rolex prices in the uk were 28% behind the rest or europe because of currency fluctuations.
even after the 10% increase on the 1st of february there is still an 18% gap to close. it is possible that there will be an interim price increase of another 10% in either march or april of this year. currently the pound is starting to make small ground on a weakning euro which will then close up the remaining percentage. prices will be even across the board in europe and the uk by the autumn. |

Having some watches to sell, I can confirm this is 100% true, and it will be at least 50%

Warning: The value of fine watches can go down as well as up ;-) Although if you read the small print this would appear unlikely with new Rolex in the current market.

was at watches of Switzerland (1 bond st) this arvo and they have not yet increased their price yet. The increase will be next Monday.
Tried on a couple of ss datejusts and an explorer ii. The white face roman dial with ss new jubliee bracelet smiled at me and the white faced explorer ii didn't. Now I'm in two minds. Couldn't get any discount on the smiling datejust because they don't discount on the entire ss range - thought it was more of the sports model range. I can claim VAT refund though....... I might also check out some grey market pre-owned models in the coming week. |
