Explorer II
I am thinking of buying an Explorer II with White Dial. I have a Sub with black dial and Yatch with Platinum dial. So I am thinking of getting a white dial but can't really afford a Daytona at the moment, so I am going to settle for Explorer II.
My question is. White is the new movement means? I saw one for sale with "M" series and he claimed that the watch do have the new movement. TIA |

The newer Explorers have 3186s inside
http://minus4plus6.com/paracromblu16710.htm (near the bottom) Also, I wouldn't settle for a watch. You're just going to end up flipping it down the road...or that's what I have a habit of doing.

Yes the late Z's and the new M's have the 3186. For some reason all the false hype hasn't made it over to the Explorer's from the GMT II's yet. Basically, now the movement is 100% in house, they don't outsource for the hairspring. The watch is no better with the new hairspring, if you can save some cash on a early Z, do it. If the price is nice on the M, buy it.

I think the EXP II is much nicer than the Daytona but don't settle, get the one you really want.
