Sub 16610 with Bold Fonts Dial. Anyone Knows Anything?
Hi All,
I have in my possession a Sub 16610 E series. The dial of this particular piece has bold printings much larger than any of my other subs and sds. I am wondering if this was a transitional piece or an error / variant dial? Will appreciate any info anyone can shed on this. I am in the midst of trading this for something else, and have no idea how to value it at all. Been searching high and low for information and been around asking a few dealers and none have an answer whatsoever. Thank you for reading. |

It looks authentic to me from the pics you provided... I guess it's just a heavier font. I've noticed that this varies from watch to watch. I saw 2 BNIB 16613's at an AD and they both had different fonts and the date wheels were different....one was a Z and one was an M with RRR...

The crown guards look a lillte shallow to me - on my 16610, they stand out a liitle more.

The authenticity is no question here. Hehehe, It was verified and acquired from a trusted source. I guess the angle I took the picture to avoid the reflection caused the "disappearing" crown guard.

I have compared with a few subs and sds from a few varying series. Most of them looks rather consistent to me. It's just this particular piece... oh well, that was why I bought it in the first place. Initially I thought it was an E series thingy, and found out I was wrong. The other E series I manage to hunt down does not have the bold fonts. |

It's worth what any other E-series is worth, no more, no less.
This is of course my personal opinion and worth exactly what you paid for it.. |

I've seen this in some Subs. You're okay. It's not something most people notice but it's the real deal.

Thanks for the input guys! I got it really cheap. Almost as cheap as an exp2, just that the boldness of the fonts drove me kinda crazy... it's the boldest I've seen so far.
