16750 GMT Restoration - LAWW touched up vintage restore

I bought a nice 1983 GMT last August with intentions to swap in the correct handset and servicing it. After correcting those parts it needed something else.

After a trip to LAWW recently for something minor I pulled the trigger on a “vintage restore”. They refinish the top of the lugs and fix the chamfers/bevels. They leave the case sides as they are, they don’t polish them. Then they clean the band up, adjust the clasp and fit the endlinks. I have worn it since so it has some marks...

Thank you Sir!

On the cost:
it’s half as much the full blown recut, I’ll PM you, the full blown recut/laser weld can get expensive but it’s labor intensive.

I wouldn’t do it unless your chamfers/bevels are polished out. Mine were gone but the lug tops were nice and flat... looking at Springers Instagram gave me chamfer envy. If I would have saved another $2-3k I could have bought one of his watches after all the money I spent.
