126710 BLNR Batman price in Grey Market
So I've been seeing this piece selling up to 22k.
My question is, people are actually buying it for that price? Have not seen one confirmed sale of the watch besides from AD waiting list, where people buy 9k. Some other threads showed some people even saying that will go down, and others, will say it will go up (for no apparent reason or logic to back it up). How many of you bought this model on the grey market and how much you paid for it? |

As an owner of a BLNR I think $22k is an outrageous price. So is $15k, the watch in my opinion is a great watch but prices just like the BLRO being north of 18-22k is a little much.
If the watch is available in the gray market, then you know that AD’s are getting them in. I know if a couple of gray resellers on TRF that have sold them for $15-$17K and they are gone in less than a week. Some members have paid the premium to avoid the ridiculously lengthy wait times. I hope you find a Pepsi at reatil, a decent AD who you've bought off before the hype should look after you now. I remember buying a sub 10 years ago and knowing I'd loose money as soon as I left the store. I wonder how many people who want subs now would do that?!? |

Market conditions ebb and flow for houses, cars, sneakers, gold, bitcoin and pork belly - and not playing is a choice for watches but not so for eggs and milk in Zimbabwe. |

If they want to £30k then £16k would look cheap, it's all relative. Rolex has tapped in to this desire to want the unobtainable. Read back over old threads, peoples perception changes as the market moves. £9k for a batman 6 monts ago was expensive, now its cheap. If things carry on then £8k for a new sub ND will look cheap, and so on and so on.

Now is the time to hold onto what you have .
Unless you really want to sell and change the collection of course... It’s not a buyers market , it’s a sellers for sure . |

Are you talking about the new GMT just released at this years Basel or the old BLNR? All the responses seem to be about the old BLNR.

Those BLNR watches aren't worth that, sorry. No. I know that people who have spent that amount will try to defend their choice and come up with every argument in the book to justify it, but to me it's a little silly. 10 years from now the SS craze will be over and we'll be on to the next thing that nobody can find. Reminds me of the old Wilson rackets from St Vincent that Pete played with...people went crazy over them just because they couldn't get them. |

Just like the pepsi prices will come down but very slowly and will still be very high as the market remains strong.

Over priced nothing more.
BLNR is NOT that special. Its just a plain jane with half blue bezel. And yes I used to own one. |

At last somebody says it out loud. It’s a fine watch the Batman but not a knockout. My taste tells me Pepsi has heritage and presence that pops.

I owned BLNR for almost four years and fully enjoyed it. However, I would not pay more than MSRP for one.

This SS market is crazy. I got my BLNR 2016 new from AD for less than 8k. I know I could double my cost tomorrow but it’s a keeper as I love the watch. Too bad so many are flipping driving prices so high. No way I’d invest 16k in SS sub/GMT.

Bought my BLRO for keeps even though it was a grey purchase. I researched well and my purchase is WITHOUT a moments regret. Relative market elasticity/inelasticity means almost guaranteeing that this will happen. There was a mining boom in Western Australia a title while back with guys buying $90,000 work utility vehicles. A lot of them for sale now along with jet skis. They could access cash but weren’t sophististicTed enough to play in a volatile market. |

Actually, if fewer flipped them, there would be fewer available and prices would be even higher. People who want them, and can’t get through AD, should pray for more flippers to increase pre-owned inventory, which would lower the gray market price. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I think TRF buyers make up a small percentage of all buyers and with that, most know other avenues of buying. Highly doubt a WIS will pay that

Ive got or owned all of the ceramic GMT's including the solid gold Rootbeer.
The MK1 Batman is the best in my opinion followed by the Pepsi . I was recently offered 13500 pounds for my new Batman jubilee from a Grey dealer I know which I refused, I'm guessing if he offered me that much he must have been confident he could make a good mark up still |

I really get annoyed by the argument that the flippers are causing the price increases on the secondary market. They are simply responding to the demand. If people would stop buying these things (any model) for over MSRP, then the price would never get above MSRP. It's that simple.
