Need help authenticating!

Hi All! New here and was hoping to get some feedback from TRF on a vintage GMT Master I found on Craigslist. It’s supposedly a 16753 from around 1987. This question is two parts and hopefully doesn’t break any rules:

1) does this look legit?
2) what would you pay for this piece if it is real? Seller currently has it listed for $7,125 (USD)

I went to take a look at it and everything *seems* legit but I was unable to take a look at the movement or see the inside of the case back. The bracelet doesn’t have any steel showing under the gold.

Any and all help appreciated!

It doesn't look fake, it's not over polished but well worn, yes.. how is the bracelet for stretch?

Personally, I'd prefer a watch that somebody hadn't already had the best out of it. I don't see the value in old used 5 digits. It would have cost much less when it was new and now your paying a lot more for 'well used' decades later.

Bracelet stretch doesn't seem bad. I don't have any pics but there wasn't much bend when I saw it in person.

Agree with you that it's hard to justify paying such a high price for something that's been worn so much. This would be my first Rolex purchase - I would wait and buy something newer but this just came up and I felt I had to go check it out.

Do you think it's worth the $7,150 asking price?

Seller has two other listings. I’m somewhat drawn to the 16613. Seems like it may be in better shape too. If anyone has opinions, I’ll take them! :)

The President on the 2nd listing has some serious stretch. Definitely look for something else in better condition.

I wouldn't/don't know anything about prices in a currency other my own, even then you'd be asking the wrong guy. Best advice would be to compare it to prices for the same watch model/year/condition on popular marketplace websites and make up your mind.

No problem - thanks for the help! Seems like seller has it priced right at the top of the market based on some comparables online.

The bracelets on these two listings linked above are both stretched, badly. You can do better elsewhere.

Ah see I didn’t realize that was even considered bad. Don’t know what I don’t know yet I guess.

Looks Legit and BEAT! Could you get a cheesier picture to show this off? The classic Mercedes in the back?

It’s a parts watch. Not necessarily fake but it’s not all from the same mother.
