Seybold building?

Anyone ever visit the Seybold building in Miami?

My dad was telling me about it... we're going to go next week...

He said they have thousands of used Rolex... can anyone confirm?

If so....

Been there many times, I lived there 6 1/2 years. Tons of watches in the Seybold Building, and the general area. Try Aruba Gold on the first floor, ask for Ray, the owner.

Don't forget to go upstairs to the other floors; there many watch/diamond dealers up there also.

I bought one of my favorite watches in the Seybold Building in 1991. A brand new, NOS, Beitling Top Time, three register chronograph circa 1960's - maybe 1970's. This watch dealer had about one hundred vintage Breitlings that were all NOS. It was watch heaven!!!! LOL

I still have that old Breitling. I wore it off-and-on for about five years and retired it.

Thanks John

Do you think there would be authenticity concerns with these jewelers?

These days its always buyer beware.I would use a credit card and ask about a return policy.

If you mean fakes, I wouldn't think so. There are plenty in there that can check a watch for you. Ray is very knowledgable with Rolex watches. He also knows the dealers in the building, and can tell you who to avoid.

Remember the # 1 rule of buying, buy the buyer...before the watch. Also, visually check the serial number before you buy, make sure it is on the receipt and ask about the return policy, especially if you find out that it isn't as described. Lastly, pay with a credit card, at least you have some protection from them.
