116710blnr or 126710 blnr?
So I currently have a 116710 blnr and am thinking about getting the new version on the jubilee and giving the 116710 blnr to my brother. For the peeps who own both which do you like more and why? I’m worried I’ll regret the decision cause I do love my Batman a lot but all my watches have the oyster bracelet and it would be nice to maybe mix it up with the super jubilee. I do like how the 116710 is the first black and blue though, very cool. What do you guys think? Keep the 116710 or get the 126710? Thanks!

Keep the 116710 oyster!! Better looking watch and discontinued. Only piece I let go and regretted. Luckily I managed to get another via AD. Will never let it go again! Classic.

Keep the 116710BLNR. The only difference is no Jubilee and older movement.

I’ve never owned the original BLNR. I have always loved that piece ever since it debuted. A client of mine has the original BLNR and when we get together I have coveted his watch.
Fast forward to July 2019 ... I was offered the new BLNR and purchased it. When my client and I met afterwards we compared watches. I still love the original BLNR but... both he and I prefer the new version. In fact, he is trying to source one the new version (and will sell his current BLNR). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oyster is how this watch should be represented
The jubilee does not suit it In my, and that of my close associates, humble opinion

I bought the jubilee version from my AD a few days ago and have not seen previous version in person. I should say I cannot imagine this watch without jubilee. wearing it in person makes a big difference than judging by photos. Also the new movement is a beast. I've had a few other Rolex watches and so far this is the most accurate hands down.

You make it sound like you can just go and pick up a batgirl like a sweater at Macy's. What gives? |

I agree with the above comments ... in person, the BLNR looks better. If you are judging only by photos, you will probably change your mind when you see it in the metal. The jubilee elevates this watch much as the new SS Pepsi is more attractive than the oyster WG version. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I would like to chime in.. I own both watches and at first I never thought I’d like the BLNR in Jubilee but I was dead wrong.. The jubilee elevates the watch to a different degree, it doesnt look as plain as the other professional models on Oyster Bracelets. So if given the chance to get the new Batman don’t hesitate to purchase it.

To me it looks like a completely different watch to my 116710BLNR I just do not dig it at all with the jubilee. The bracelet looks too dainty for the head, that makes the head look odd and oversized My other buddy also has the oyster version and instantly felt the same way. Seems quite polarising It’s weird a bracelet can make such a difference in how the watch is perceived Same for the BLRO. Whereas the WG version on oyster looks solid For me, it’s just never going to be one i warm too but this is why we have variations - not everyone sees things the same way

116710 has a known hour wheel click spring problem. Not sure if they fixed it with the 126710.

Can the case of the batgirl be fixed with the oyster bracelet?

Why would anyone downgrade the current BLNR with the oyster? Those PLCs are scratch magnets and it’s less comfy. Better option would be to purchase a $240 Rubber B for casual and keep jubilee for smarter wear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I had the oyster and sold it for the jubilee. I love the jubilee and noted at the time I bought the oyster that the only thing I'd change would be to put it on jubilee.
Since you have the oyster, I'd try to get the jubilee at retail and then see which one you like best...sell the other. You'll probably love the jubilee. Good luck finding the jubilee BLNR at an AD (not sarcasm - really hoping that you'll find one soon). Make sure to post the incoming and let us all know which you prefer. Cheers! |

I sense a pattern. Most who have the old BLNR on oyster don't want to admit the new one is better.

To those who love the oyster and prefer it, truly happy for you. Wear what you love. Last edited by bobbyandy; 17 September 2019 at 04:05 AM.. Reason: first draft seemed a bit negative. Sorry. |
