Any Audi fans out there?

Anybody own or owned an Audi?

My wife and I drove the Q5 today. Pretty impressive. The technology is unbelievable. Not sure that it is as comfortable though as the RX 350 (also looked at the 2010 version of RX 350)

I have to say - pretty hot car!

I have an A4... I love it but would not suggest keeping it after the warranty expires. Lots of little things break and they costs lots to fix.

But the new Audie are especially the 5 models.

I have a 2005 A6 that has been worry free. I will certainly buy another when it is time to trade. Just my 2 cents worth.....

I have had 5 Audi's. 4 A6's and a A4. They are fantastic cars. The handling is superb. The fit & finish is second to now. Only issue we had and the reason we no longer buy them is that the depreciation is major. You loose $9K just driving of the lot.

I don't own an Audi, but I've driven a few of them. The interior and technology are quite impressive.

If I were to get one, it would be the A4 or A5 or a S/RS variance of one of them.

Audi does have a history of maintenance issues, but it looks like they got their act together. The 2008 A4 was solid according to Consumer Reports.

I just picked up a Q7 - loved the Q5 when I drove it, but it was just too small to haul the kids and tow the boat. The Q5 has some of the new tech that the Q7 doesn't yet.

It's my 1st Audi and I'm generally impressed. However, with less than 500 miles the check engine light goes on - and it has been in the shop 3 times now with no resolution. Not what you expect when you spend over $50k on a new car and it ends up in the shop more than my driveway!

I did hear that they have a lot of problems with the brakes and tires - not sure if that translates to the Q5.

We have an A4 (our second Audi), and absolutely love it. No problems whatsoever, and we'll get another Audi when we buy again. For me, they are the perfect balance of comfort and performance. The road doesn't beat me up, it drives so confidently in the rain, and it feels like 50 when I'm actually going 80.

Wow... I have never been so UNSURE in a car purchase. We just bought my wife a BMW 335i on Jan 5th - 2008 model. Killer deal... She loves it. She is the car geek in the family...

We need the mid - SUV. I think the Q7 is too big. My wife will drive it from time to time and she is only 4'11

So, the Q5 and the RX 350 are the choices. I really like them both... Tough call. Both are great cars. I want to purchase before April 1. Here in California - Sales Tax on vehicle purchase increases 1% and Tax and License I believe is going to double. The times are getting even tougher...

Thanks all for your help.

I'm seriously thinking of buying the new A4 1.8T or 2.0T.
Excellent, robust cars and very reliable. European technology at it's best!

I had an Audi A4 2.0 from 2002 to 2006. Got it with the Audi Corporate program and I have NOT paid a cent for servicing over the first 3 years of ownership - only paid for the brake pads and new tyres after like 3.5 years and 60k km on the clock. Solid car, good handling and pretty good economy.
We're tempted to get the Q5 now after my current MB B200 turbo turns 3 in Sept. Sat in the Q5 during the recent motorshow and man, it feels good. Since it's so new (no good deals as well as no real owners feedback etc), I'm inclined to wait several months before making a decision.

A couple of Audi shots during the recent Melbourne motor show. Sorry, didn't think about taking pictures for the Q5

Actually, the residuals are still unknown... But, the money factor must be pretty low. You can get the "mid" level for about $530 a month... That would mean pretty high expected residual or super low money rate. Tempting...

had an A4 and a TT in the past. audis are great and reliable (in my case) cars.
they have a decent range and after service in australia - and one of my best friends used to work for the largest audi dealership so we used to be able to test drive new models.
the wifey is a huge audi fan - so i told her that i will get her a red R8 one day.......

We were lucky enough to spend half the day at Infineon (Sonoma, CA) driving the RS4 and the R8.

I've always been a BMW guy but would consider the A5 for my next car..I will definitely test drive it but right now I still think I will end up in an E92 335.

My wife drive a 2001 A4 and I drive a 2005 TT.
The A4 have over 100K miles and don't really have any major problems.
The Audi TT is a great little car. We gave the A4 to our daugther so we can get the new A5 for my wife.
