TRF Live Halloween Comments 2019

So far nothing too crazy. Kids are polite. That could change as the high schoolers get bored.

It’s frosty out here at 32F. Kids don’t care about that though, and their coming through steady. Can’t say the same for the parents

Pretty civil here except for the teenagers driving golf carts.

No one came up to our door. Went for a run on the trails/forest and no one there either, even though it was dark

Not enough houses where I live, it's not worth the kids' effort. Bell hasn't rung on Halloween in 10 years.

We live in a neighborhood of 52 homes. Has turned over from retirees to young families for the most part the last few years.

Thought we would have tons of kids. Bought the good candy and the big 450 piece bag!!! And fruit roll ups and Rice Krispie treats. Not very many.

21 degrees, 40 mph winds and snow will do that I guess.

We had our first snow of the season, a rain-snow mix, last night. Second time this has happened in the 10 years I've lived in Michigan. Had some friends over and the dads took the kids out, moms passed out candy. Kids were of course out with costumes and a light jacket underneath, while I was completely encased in winter gear. Kids our here are tough, we had at least 70 come through in about 2 hours.

In other news, our dining room saw its first and only usage of the year, where the kids poured out their hauls and horse-trading ensued to dump off the stuff they didn't like. Skittles are coveted, while Snickers were shunned as one kid has a nut allergy. Anybody need some Snickers?

Was at the bassnectar show in GR Last night and the big debate between my buddy and I was be warm or look fly. We left the jackets at home. Getting out at midnight while it was hovering around freezing sucked, but the costumes were amazing.
