Nike Running Shoes on Grey market
So I watched below video and thought I could use the extra boost. So I go to Amazon and search for Nike Vaporfly. Many variants/knockoffs, but the actual sneaker, unisex, cost $230 or so. So I hit BUY and get various options, all resellers, and the price is a whopping $435 bucks.
Ar these sneakers made of SS??? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VY3Rj6iiSQM |

Nike is a no-go for me.
It may seem odd, but I spend more time in these shoes than any other shoes I own. https://www.bowlerx.com/dexter-the-9...XTHE9HTBOA.htm

I refuse to buy a product from a company who openly endorses and condones the despicable actions of Colin Kaepernick. Doesn't matter how "good" their athletic shoes are or appear to be.

I've had some minimal soled Nike Free I think they're called for the last few years and they were all higher than the normal ones. But not that high. |

Nike is a marketing machine and one of the best. I wouldn't look at them endorsing Colin Kaepernick's action in a silo, but rather, empowering an athlete to stand up for what they believe in, whatever that may be. They knew how passionate people are about the flag/national anthem and took a huge risk. It paid off. They probably garnered millions of impressions during that ad campaign and also resonated to millennials who connect to social causes. UA was coming on strong in the last couple of years. With Nike's recent campaigns on conviction and empowerment, there's no doubt Nike is back on top. Just my 2 cents. |

Even though we may not agree with every protest, we have to believe in the right and usefullness of said protest partly because the country was founded on protest. Your right to boycott Nike is fine, and a personal choice, BUT peaceful protest is an integral part of what makes the US supposedly a free country. And while we may be offended by something we should respect the right for people to have grievances and bring them to light. I think it's disingenuous to consider oneself a US citizen and then be offended by what that stands for. I realize people will say, "well people died defending that flag" but that is not actually true, people died for an ideal what they considered to US to be, and protest is one of those things. I hope this isn't considered political because it isn't. If you believe in the US of America, then you believe in peaceful protest. |

I was offered a limited release last year after it came out on the secondary market. Retail price $180. I was offered 1K. They are now selling for over 6K. Yah - it's nuts. |

Nike are the worst running shoes I've ever owned. They were through their soles in under 200km of running.
ASICS and Salomon only for me. |
