Yes, I see VERY few of them around here in CT. I definitely give them credit. They have a V8 engine with 375 HP !! (I think that HP # is accurate). I know the V8 is also a 4.6L, which is quite impressive. It's a VERY good looking car as well IMO. I couldn't own one myself though. I'll be the first to admit, that when it comes to cars, I'd buy one just for the name (and quality of course lol).

I'm high maintenance....but I tell you what......overall, I probably get more enjoyment from the watches on my wrist, than the wheels in my garage. (Probably because I get to look down at my watch whenever I want, and stare in admiration....can't really do the same with my car, unless I carry a photo around with me all day, but that just wouldn't be the same.)

Yeah brother, you just can't win. If I drove an old hoopty, then everyone would just assume the day-date on my wrist is a knockoff, and that just wouldn't be right either. Besides, I'd feel like one of those idiots that drive a car that's worth more than their house.....except in my case, I'd have more money on my wrist than in my garage. In a perfect world, none of what I'm talking about should or would matter.

I would guess that it would depreciate much faster than it's competition. The Mercedes and BMW will both be worth something in 10 years. Just due to the name.

It has nothing on a BMW, in terms of everything.
I think if you test drove one, you would know it that a 7er wins hands down. A good example of this would be: Rolex is like a Mercedes as this particular Hyundai is an Invicta. The warranty is great though. |

Funny fact
Imagine the actual manufacturing cost of the car This car will cost you 30k of which the country takes a slice of tax for the goverment, the dealer takes a slice, the importer takes a slice, the shipping company takes a slice. And don't think that Korean labor rates are cheap because car workers there are getting paid pretty much exactly the same as the ones in Britain. Use your imagination Oscar to figure out how much this car actually costs to build and how much the raw materials cost An example: It costs Volkswagen 275$ to buy a set of 4 fuel injectors for the Golf diesel

Also, those are aftermarket parts put on.
I don't think it looks that fresh off the lot. I am waiting for the all electric Mini Coops that BMW is going to release. Not a big fan of minis, but electric, with BMW handling, I am sold. |

I must be out of the asian import car scene but are Hyundais the new hotness!
They don't look like they are performance oriented but then again a Honda Civic isn't either but very popular. |

One last thing
Let's not forget that because they are cheap to make/buy they are cheap to maintain ! Spare parts are usually expensive and let's not forget about depreciation. The second hand market is full of cheap european and japanese cars at bargain prices.

Their cars/SUVs are are some of the best for reliability and have reviewed favorably compared to some long time top cars in their classes.

I totally agree with you guys.. I'm just saying it's the best looking hyundai out there and for 30k 10years 100k miles warranty people would have save a lot of money..ofcourse 7 and S class hands down..but that's what's hyundai is trying to target..to have a luxury car available to the masses which they can afford of buying..
