New Rolex

Hello all!
I come with a question. I am in the market to get a preowned Rolex. I have about 6 grand to spend. I know not a lot but I think enough to get something that will suffice. I have a 7 5/8 in wrist. I think a Datejust may be too small but am open for opinions. What do you guys think or where can you guide me? Thanks in advance!

You can get a DJ41

Or save a little more for a explorer 1 or explorer 2

I would say a DJ41 would be a perfect one and done. And the preowned market is right in your ballpark.

Datejust II 116334, perhaps? Forgotten model, nice value in the pre-owned market, and could have the sportiness and size you want.

You have more options than you think with $6k !

7.625” wrist = 40mm plus watch, $6k puts you in DJ41 territory. Beware, many will try to steer you to a 36mm !

Use chrono24 as a price guideline, then search the marketplace here on TRF, buy from one of the trusted sellers, post photos when it arrives !

I would visit a few ADs and grey dealers and just try whatever they have in. You’re not obliged to make a purchase but it might help you to discover which models are of interest to you.

Of course the DJ41 is the perfect choice for many, (me included) considering your budget and wrist size the DJII may be the perfect choice for you.

I think a Datejust 41 would look great on your 7 5/8 wrist. That said, if you wait until you can add a little more to the budget, it would open up more possibilities.

Thanks for all the opinions. I didn’t think I’d get so many responses. I’ll let you know what I decide and post pictures when it arrives! Much appreciated!

I think the current Air King 116900 is a great looking watch and can be had new with a short wait from an AD for $6200.
