Have to trade 1 of them, AP or Rolex?

Have to trade one of those in, not sure which one to part ways with.

The logic

Rolex: it’s a 41mm. Have a gold GMT II and other Rolex’s are all in SS, can always be purchased from a retailer, not like it’s going away.

AP: a discontinued already 41mm. Have an older Royal Oak 39mm in RG on a bracelet and other SS royal oaks. AP keeps making the watch just in different dial variations so I think it will be around for a while.

you already have a gold royal oak on bracelet so you can't beat that. imo no point keeping one on a strap

hard to beat a day date so i would keep that

Keep the day date. 41 DD are short run and rare.

What is it going towards? Sounds like the RO is the only watch you have on a strap and you have another all gold Rolex so I would l keep the RO or trade the GMT gold.

Tough one.

If you are a classic style guy with pinstripe navy suits driving a Bentley - keep the DD.

If you are a young tech guy wearing designer jeans and driving a Porsche - keep the AP.

Both great watches, really a matter of fit to your style. Post a picture of you in front of your garage, then we can answer more sharply.

Trade both in and use the extra cash for something else (or just pocket it). The 41mm Day-Dates are ghastly -- there's a reason they were only produced for a short while -- and if you have other Royal Oaks, particularly ones on bracelets, there's no point in keeping that.

Not sure why you need to trade out, but if you're considering a move to another AP model, the rep told me yesterday that they are rolling out a trade-in program that should begin soon. Details were to follow once the AP team returned from their corporate meeting in Florida this week.
