Need some London Hotel suggestions.

Leah and I are coming to London on April 3rd and will be staying through the 10th.

Could some of my UK TRF friends suggest a nice hotel for under 150.00 pounds per night?

I am looking at the Kingsway Hall hotel. Looks to be centrally located and very nice.

Any other suggestions? We are going to do the normal touristy things and we are looking forward to spending some quality time just enjoying one of the finest cities on earth!!! Not to mention the best people!!!

Thanks

Richard,

You could try Knightsbridge Hotel (10 Beaufort Gardens, LDN SW3 1PT, phone 44 207 584 6300).

I got this from a friend of a friend. She lived — until recently — in London.

Good luck.

We stayed at the Luna and Simone last year. It is located close to Victoria and Pimlico tube stations with buses running just outside to all the major attractions. It's in a nice, central and safe part of town.

It's smaller and family run (by 2 brothers). Nice chaps too. Fairly cheap at about 60-70 pound a night. Rooms not huge but big enough with a decent bathroom and shower. Breakfast is included in the price of the room.

Look them up on Tripadvisor, Ranked in the top 30 hotels in London, which is pretty good!

Great call on Lina coffee roasters too. Ordered the Jamaica Blue Mountain and it was terrific. It just run out and the coffee we are drinking now can't compare. Only thing is the postage to Oz is almost as much as the beans!

Any more questions on the hotel, just ask.

The Cadogan Hotel, Sloane Square, Knightsbridge is worth considering. It has a rich history and association with King Edward VII and Oscar Wilde. Very close to Harrods and Buckingham Palace.

Not sure what the room rates are, but they do offer packages.

Really glad you enjoyed the Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee. We are now completely addicted! Just purchased another 7 pounds two weeks ago and will brew a pot later on this morning. We always order when we are down pound!

Thanks for the hotel suggestion. Sounds perfect!

We stayed at The Kensington Close Hotel. It seemed close to all the action but can't remember how much it was. The rooms were too small but I heard that's common for London. Nice restaurants and pub too.

Thanks Dan. The rooms always are small in London. At least in the hotels we can afford to stay in.

That is a sweet hotel! Thanks for the suggestion. But you are correct, it does kinda blow the budget. Still considering it though.
