Breitling straps now available online

About a couple of weeks ago, Breitling launched a section of their site dedicated to selling straps. There are about 120 different straps available and I've spent way too much time on there looking at them and figuring out which ones to get next. Without another watch incoming, I figured the best way to mix it up was to pick up a couple of straps.

https://www.breitling.com/us-en/straps/

I already had one on order for my Chronomat Airborne from my AD but decided my next one would be one of the new Econyl nato straps for my Superocean Heritage Chrono. It arrived today in a special little package that Breitling is using when straps are ordered.

This is my first nato strap experience so I decided to get one of their special Econyl straps made from recycled materials that are polluting the oceans. These are associated with the Outerknown brand which is why these straps have the logo on them. Overall, I'm very impressed with the strap. The quality is top notch and it's very comfortable. I can easily see ordering a couple more of these for my Chronomat in a couple different colors.

You just need to click add to bag. I know this is live in the US but I’m not sure about other areas of the world.

I think as of right now, the straps are only available in the US and the UK. Hopefully it rolls out to more markets soon.

Thank you so much for the heads up! I've been wanting to acquire a different strap for my Navitimer Ref. 806 1959 Re-Edition.

The brown version of the strap that comes standard with the 806 looks amazing.

Yes. Here is a picture of both the steel and gold versions on the brown strap.

The rubber straps are far cheaper than the dealers offer them for. Like $75/pop. Super reasonable!

You need to factor in the buckle which is another $75

Regardless, $75 is incredibly cheap for just the rubber. If you already have deploy clasp, it’s an excellent option.

The $75 is for insert only and would be same price at a dealer. No difference on prices from site vs dealers.

While you’d think that would be true, I have experience (and others) in the contrary. Just last week they tried to sell my buddy a $75 strap for $180. Probably because they could mark up however much they wanted since there was no public discussion price list for straps. In that particular instance, my buddy got out of it since the prices are online now; however, it used to be different.

I had another Breitling strap arrive today. It's the dakkar calfskin strap with the tang buckle.

Bought the same blue nato.

Does it loosen up with break in? Very stiff.

Thanks for the tip. I ended up going to the boutique to replace my broken 3 year old leather strap/buckle combo. Tried the NATO (still online only) and various straps. Ended up with rubber diver strap and brushed SS deployant clasp.

I haven’t even tried the NATO strap yet. I’ve kept my Superocean on either the mesh bracelet or the rubber strap.
