Does this mean a new clasp is needed?

Hi guys from TRF, something horrible happened to my u-series sub 14060 on Saturday. I had probably too much alcohol, got drunk and fell while I was walking downstairs of the bar. I used my both hands to support my body and bang! my sub got off my wrist immediately (didn't recall this until the next morning, stupid).

I did a quick check about the status of the watch. It is working fine and running accurately as before, winding is fine too. Links of the 93150 bracelet look fine and have similar stretch to me. The clasp is well damaged though as shown:

My guess is the clasp hit the ground first and suffered the biggest impact from my weight, the watch head probably just slid away after it got off of my wrist so the impact was not as much.

I'm thinking about two possible ways to fix this. One is to get another clasp from ebay or RSC (didn't see any with my clasp code on ebay tho)? Two is to get it restored (if it's still possible)? I did some searching yesterday and Michael Young's name kept popping up here and in other forums but there didn't seem to be any bracelet with this much damage...can he save this? Really need advice from experts here, thank you!

Lucky you came home with the watch if you don’t recall it coming off!

Are they that expensive from Rolex? Surely if you went to an AD they’d get you one.

Yeah, lucky I was with my friends! Not sure about the price of AD, going to try to get the original one back to working state first. Thank you!

Good choice.

A bit of time and talent and the clasp can likely be hammered and refinished into good condition.

Finding another clasp is also an easy option, but as you say, finding the same era/code may be a chore. Bracelets are considered expendables though; there is no rule that date codes need to match anything.

Lay off of the liquor for a little while. I agree with Larry as to you could probably repair it yourself. I know I would try.
