My 5513 just came back from RolliWorks

My 1968 5513 (SN 204xxxx) just came back from a laser welding treatment at RolliWorks to restore the case from previous over polishing. They did a superb job. I will have to "blame" @Trog for inspiring me to get the work done based on his experience with his 5513 at RolliWorks.

This watch is my pride and joy and of course it even feels better on my wrist. Thanks Michael.

THese pictures were taken by RolliWorks because I cannot get decent closeup pictures:

looks great, glad she made it back.

the only thing that bothers me about rolliworks lapping is that the angle of the brush finish on the lugs isn't 100% like factory. LA Watch Works pretty much has it down to a science.

Owning this watch for 50 years I actually assumed all bezels would look like this if you just kept your watch in good condition and didn't climb under your car to change the oil while wearing it. That was until I joined TRF and saw how many look like cr*p. Rolex's were always a "good" watch although not stratospheric like today. I can't figure out what people do to them. It's not a Timex.

I agree I am always amazed to hear people refer to refer to certain models as their “beater watch” too much money in the world these days or something. Beautiful watch looks outstanding!
