Rolex customer services/warranty
Anybody here had to send their watch back under warranty and know the true turnaround time. My AD has advised four weeks, and I have no reason to doubt them but was curious to anyone previous dealings.
My beloved DSSD JC MkII is about a year old, but today I noticed dust or a defect on the underside of the glass, just right of 3o'clock marker. Last edited by QRX77; 4 January 2020 at 12:12 AM.. Reason: Spelling |

I had to send in my YachtMaster due to a clasp issue. It took three weeks from the day I went into the AD to the day I picked up.

I’ve sent two pieces to Dallas RSC for warranty work in the last two years. Each time it took about a month, give or take a couple days.

I sent my SD43 to service under warranty few months ago and it took 6 weeks. I would say normal turnaround time is 6-8 weeks in UK

I'm a little hesitant about sending my 116610LV to have the timekeeping adjusted. It was behaving really well until a couple of months ago and now it's losing up to 1 second within a couple of hours. After 24 hours its lost about 6 seconds. I know I should probably just leave it and see what happens but I can't help myself and have to manually reset it using my atomic clock app. My worry is some of the stories of watches being returned in a worse condition than when sent. I really don't think anyone these days gives a damn about the value of things and taking care of other people's property.

Yes the close up is the mark, my bad I meant near 9 o clock. Sounds like the 4 weeks turnaround is realistic.

Thanks for the responses, my watch should now be at Rolex UK Head Office (Kings Hill Service Centre) with an ETA back to me of early Feb.
The main guy I deal with at my AD was stunned and in his extensive experience not seen anything like it from Rolex, as he states their quality control is so high, which i do not doubt. I appreciated how he dealt with it. He seemed almost embarrassed but very professional still maintaining and promoting the Rolex brand. I believe it was just one of those freak occurrences, the dust must have been hidden under one of the hands during quality control and for the first 14months I owned it. On the plus side I have been forced to get the SD43 out of the safe for the first time, damn that is a pretty little watch. On a side note would be interesting to hear something from Rolex directly when i get the watch back and maybe a little something (piece of Rolex merchandise like a wallet/keyring) by way of apology for the inconvenience. Curious to see if Rolex customer Services are as good as their watches. |
