Finally Got My First - The Story and Some Pics!
Hi all,
I've posted a few times and been lurking for a few years. I got serious about purchasing my first rolex about a year ago and began what would essentially be a very frustrating process. I was ready to celebrate a milestone in my career but every AD I talked to was not interested in adding me to lists or helping in any way. I get it but its still quite frustrating. It didn't help that the two pieces on my shortlist were Batman on oyster bracelet or a Sky-Dweller with Blue Dial. After giving up a for a period of time, I began to seriously consider purchasing from a gray. While its not something I really wanted to do given paying over MSRP, for me it was more about celebrating my accomplishments and the few thousand over MSRP if I find the right deal would not be a big deal in the grand scheme of things. Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I found a great condition barely used BLNR on Oyster at AIS Watches. I reached out to Aamir and I couldn't have been happier with his quick responses, being treated like a value potential client and his willingness to send additional pics and information when requested. I'm so happy I skipped the AD experience and found someone who wanted and appreciated my business. And now for some fun pics over the past couple of weeks. Congrats. For some grey is the way to go. I don't have the deal with the BS. Also, got both at MSRP. .. wear in good health it's very nice. :)
