Rolex Zenith Daytona 16520 Overhaul
Had some fun doing a complete service on a 16520 with the infamous modified Zenith movement, calibre 4030.
Took a few pics along the way, not really in chronological order, but wanted to share this cool watch with you guys |

Bas, those are some great shots; I love the dial at the end. Anything you like about the Zenith movement that the 4130 doesn't have?

My absolute favorite Daytona, thank you sharing Ba, you rock! PS The picture of the movement with inverted 6 dial on the holder, is now my computer screen saver and iphone wallpaper!

This is truly great stuff. Obviously, don’t understand much of how these little machines work, but these posts make me truly appreciate what I’m wearing

Bas,
this is AWESOME. perfect timing also as my 16520 is at the Dallas RSC for an overhaul. thank you for posting the pics. is the 4030 service much more effort than a 4130 due to having more parts? |

Bas - another great exposition. Quick query: is the hand on the minutes totaliser an OEM hand? It appears not to match... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

It is OEM but a service hand, it is most certainly not the 16520 a collector is looking for... |

Thanks for sharing. I didn’t know that RSC charges differently between 4030 and 4130. Definitely something to consider when acquiring a Daytona. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ha, yeah, I figured you weren't the culprit. I guess the last watchmaker didn't think anyone else would see his work.

Trust me, if you do that during a Rolex training you will hear about it. Maybe because I'm still young and have only done this for a few years is why I care, and when I'm old and close to retiring I will damage screws as well |
