Explorer 1 - Legit Check

This is my first post here after reading some of the previous posts in this excellent forum.

I'm considering to buy this F serial Explorer 1 from a private seller. The seller claims to have bought the watch from a reputable dealer where I live who I know and I have seen a picture of the receipt.

I'd really appreciate a second opinion if this watch is genuine and correct.

Many thanks in advance.

I thought Asians hated the word "oriental'.

I'd investigate further...

It's typically considered "politically incorrect" by "woke" (PC) Westerners.
However, there are countless Chinese companies with "Oriental" in the name.
And more importantly, Oriental Watch Co. is a legitimate authorized Rolex dealer.

I would show the watch to the reputable dealer who sold it to this seller. That’s your best bet IMHO.

Unless you have a reputable Rolex parts watchmaker you can have examine it, I’d Take it to a local AD. For a nominal fee they could authenticate it.

Good details on the clasp, looks gen. There are good reps of this reference around; wouldn’t hurt to pop up that caseback and check the movement before purchase

The exterior looks exactly like the one I had, so it's legit. Only thing left is to open case back if you are worried for any reason.
