Watches in the garbage.

*Sigh* I just received a response from my older brother who was in possession of a few pieces of great interest to me. One was a SS chrono pocket watch that was my mothers- I remember playing with it as a young kid- the other was my nanny's swiss wrist watch which was quartz.
The guy threw them out! It baffles me... why would you just throw away such things?
*sigh* I guess its the money... He doesn't understand sentiment perhaps.

I am waiting a reply to my furious response in hope they may be at my mothers house somewhere. I'll be posting pictures if I get my hands on them. The pocket watch was absolutely astonishing as I remember it.

What is the term which describes the phenomenon of reminiscing something from childhood as being perfect? Learned it in psychology... I'm slipping.
