Not bonding with the 15500
I love the watch as it is beautiful.
I just don't love bracelets. Which is too bad considering how nice this bracelet is. That said, I haven't worn it once since I got it. Only a few minutes at a time in my home. I felt the bracelet might have been too small so I added link last night. Now it is way too big. Still can't keep it on for more than a few minutes at a time. I have a rubber strap on order. Hoping that will make the difference. It is such a damned beautiful watch.

Hey Seth, sorry to hear you're having trouble with the perfect fit for your RO. That actually is a relatively common issue; I wear my 15400 just a tad tighter than I would like, but chose that over ordering the 1.5 link.
The bracelet is truly a work of art and unparalleled in any level of watchmaking, imo. It just misses a micro adjustment feature. Hope the rubber strap solves it for you and you decide to keep it. It's an amazing watch. |

I got the bracelet for my diver and I have the same issue. It is just a tad too tight, especially in the middle of the day when we are at our fattest. I hate going back to the rubber strap because it just looks so good on the bracelet.

Get the 1.5 link, should fix the fitment issue. But not sure the other issues can be addressed if you just do not like how it looks. I always found the larger RO's to be somewhat empty looking, dial seems so large and nothing to take up all the space. I never bonded with my 15400 for that reason.

Definitely not an uncommon thing to happen. When I first got into AP I tended to wear the RO bracelet on the tighter side as or do - but then went for the 1.5 link and never looked back. Made all the difference.
The rubber strap will likely fix as well. Good luck brother! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

1.5 link is crucial. The Royal Oak is pretty sturdy and heavy so if too loose it feels like a dangling chain and if too tight it cuts into your flesh. Both deal breakers and makes the wearing experience intolerable for me.
Once you get the 1.5 link, let us know what you think. Rubber is also awesome - I've had it on the OEM strap and deployant. Makes it more comfortable too. |

I went with the 1.5 link to get the ideal fit for me.
I do love rubber straps a lot, and have thought about getting one for my 15400, but it would be hard for me to remove the bracelet, its just too nice. One of these days I'll find and order one...

1.5 link changed my life, my ROO was ever so slightly too tight it resulted in poor circulation and wrist pain, added an extra link and it felt like an oversized bracelet. With the 1.5 it sits perfect and i enjoy wearing it much more. Also considered the rubber approach but with the buckle and everything i thought it was too expensive (mine is in titanium). Its a shame to leave the bracelet behind but hey you can always get the 1.5 link and the rubber strap and mix it up!

I had to add it to my 15400 when I had it but it still didn't quite fit right probably due to my wrist size. I didn't need it for my 15450 and I don't need it for my 25860 now.
However, it is just so unfortunate how it breaks up the beautiful bracelet. To me, it is a dealbreaker as it just ruins the symmetry. But I understand why it is a must for many. I agree with others comments about 15500 being a bit empty.. |

So I am loathe to move this along, and really don't think I will. Today anyway. With me, tomorrow is difficult to tell. I like the dial on this very much. Right now, it is just a matter of comfort. Maybe the half link will work. But I think rubber likely my answer.

What is the best source for a rubber strap for the 15500/15400?

Like others have said, highly recommend using the 1.5 link. I was in your exact same situation when I took home my 15400 a couple of years ago.
I use the 1.5 link during the winter and two full links during the summer. Perfect fit all year around. I'm fairly OCD on watch fit. |

I say the AD or boutique, depending on where you are. I’m sure they can also mail you one as that seems easy to do. They’re $290 I believe. There’s also a 3rd party called RubberB. I believe they market purely to Rolex watches, and not sure they will fit a RO. But you might want to investigate further. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I kind of felt the same way with my 15400. So I sold it and I kick myself for it. I dont think it was sized accordingly so eventually I'll be in your spot when a 15500 comes around to me.
Hopefully the addition of the link will settle your problem. Let us know how it works out for you. How are you liking the 42mm titanium chrono? |

You should probably flip it. You already had the silver 15400 on a strap and you flipped that pretty quickly so not sure why this one would be different. Not trying to be a dick but seems like they aren’t for you.

I like their comfort but just find the SS too light and flimsy, same with the Nautilus, I'd only really go with the gold versions.

The problem is that damn 1.5 link sticks out like a yellow tooth in an otherwise pearly white smile...
Ok, maybe not that extreme but it was jarring enough to my eye that i just couldnt do it |

Sometimes you get a watch you thought you really desired and once you get it, poof! The magic is gone. If the rubber strap doesn’t work for you flip it and take the unfortunate loss.

Pics I’ll make happen soon.
Just got back from Vegas (toast) and have a crazy week. But the boutique has the strap. I just need to get int0 the city and get it done. Love the look of the bracelet. I just think it’s too unforgiving. Comfort is my priority always and I just don’t feel it with this. Pros and cons to everything. It’s pretty, but lacking for me in other ways. No intention of flipping.
