First Time I Ever Won Anything

First off not a april fools ...

I am a wanabe musician i have been playing for years but not as a pro just for my own enjoyment. I frequent a Strat "guitar" forum because i love guitar talk as much as watch.. Anyways this forum i am a member of had a contest to win a free Strat.. CV 60's to be exact and they pulled my name.
I am so happy it's not a ton of money guitar like some of my others but it got great reviews.. And i won it. I have never won anything in my life and it really feel's pretty good just thought i would share my enjoyment with the crowd over here.

I know that feeling. Back in the fourth grade (that would be 1976-ish) I won a snoopy radio by guessing the number of jelly beans in a jar. I remember feeling really lucky. Sadly, that's also the last time I'd had that feeling :(

When you get it, post some pics! I love the Fenders, but prefer Gibson's myself.

We're excited for you! Congratulations on your win - so now will you get a little Fender tube amp to go with it?

Here is a peak of my $250 Strat, that I bought before you were born, to help you out while you wait.

Hey, Congrats on winning the guitar. It's a great feeling when you win something. Unfortunately I never win anything but that's okay because I'm grateful to be alive!!!

I don't play no barre or power cords. Self taught so I always played cords like this. Here is a G major with the thumb holding down the big E string and muting the A string. The pinkey is playing the 9th of the cord, which would be an A. Learned to play this way when I heard All Along the Watch Tower and I had a devil of a time figuring out how to hammer on and off the 9th. Thus I thumbed over, so to speak. Don't give me grief on the picture as it ain't easy to hold the damn gutiar flat Jeff Healey style, a beer and the stupid camera.

Remember, I am just and old redneck. Feel free to correct me as I play and don't think very well at the same time.

Joe, how did you get in my safe and steal my 62? You have a little more pitting on you guard though.

Redshirt, there was a guy a long time ago that was known for playing chords like that...I can't remember his name, but he had an Afro and played the thing upside down. I think it was "Johnny Drixhen"? hahaha
