I would look at Omega, I have not heard good things about Tag re-sale/trade value in case you ever what out of it. Don't get me wrong I think the Tag is a good watch, but I can't believe it will hold it's value like an Omega, much less Rolex.

Doesnt come close to holding its value like Rolex or Omega. I bought a TAG Link, w/ all boxes and papers for less than 1/6 of the retail on it. It was a preowned watch, however it wasnt even 3 months old. If youre buying to keep, its probably a decent watch. I know several people (not watch people, albeit) who sold Rolex's and went to TAG. Just dont buy it trying to make any money

I have a Tag Aquaracer Automatic WAB2010 - I will make you a good deal on - SERIOUSLY!
Nothing wrong with Tag Heuer, but I prefer my Rolex Sean

I think Omega make a nice watch, I think they're closer in terms of quality to Rolex compared to TAG. You might want to consider a Seamaster Pro Chrono, that's probably the equivalent model in the Omega range.

TAG is a decent watch and has it's following of those who believe it is an up-scale watch..
TAG is owned by the LVMH conglomerate that is a Luxury Brand Name company.... In other words, their sole purpose in life since it's creation in 1987, is to own luxury brand names.... ........they own handbags such as Louis Vuitton, De Beers Diamonds, and Tag, among other names..TAG hasn't done anything itself since the 1970's. There is no point in trying to compare TAG with either Rolex or Omega......TAG is unlikely to break-free of it's handlers and do anything of horological significance and will continue to spend any money strictly on marketing, such on name recognition celebrities to endorse the product. Both Omega and Rolex spend quite a bit on research and development of their time-pieces, and are involved in the world horological community.

I think Tools hit the nail on the head.
While TAG is a very good brand IMO, I'd definitely take a walk over to the Omega display first ! |

tag's alright. nice looking watches if you're not too fussy about only getting in-house movements. resale value for tags are awful though.

This is my daily beater and my water activities watch. Really like it. I did change the rubber strap with deployant mechanism though, because I hate the buckle type.
