What watch is President Obama wearing?
Hi Forum,
Caption for photo "President Barack Obama considers the choices to be made during a Thursday, Jan. 29, 2009, budget meeting in the White House Roosevelt Room, across the hall from the Oval Office in the White House West Wing." Theres a clear shot of the watch he is wearing. Does anyone know what watch that is? |

Yes, it's been discussed before: it's a watch the Secret Service gave him during the campaign with their logo on it. Available only to SS employees in their gift shop. Somewhere here there is a picture of it closeup.

It was given to him by his Secreet Service Detail, which it has something to do with.

Did anyone tell him praying won't help
Sorry, Seriously I have always found it bizarre that secret services have watches with logos on them for employees. Am I the only one??????? Sort of defeats the object of being secret doesn't it |

The lates issue of IW has a great article on his watches, one being a Tag Heur 1500 and the other a company that makes watches for companies to put there names on them. Believe it said it has a Myota OS20 movement. Jorg something, I forgot already. Good article though.

hi, Just recently I came across an article in an Australian fashion mag. According to them the watch Obama usually wears is a private label chronograph made by Jorg Gray exclusively for Secret service employees. it is a Chinese made watch with a japanese movement. It is listed in the Jorg Gray online catalogue as JGC6500 Chronograph. The watch was given to Obama by someone in the secret Service assigned for his protection. Cheers
