The IWC Ingenieur originally launched in 1944 receiving a facelift in 2008 from Gerald Genta, a famous swiss watch designer and artist who is known for his collaborations with IWC, Omega, Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet.

IWC in 2013 embarked on a Formula One partnership with team Mercedes AMG Patronas Formula One Racing Team. To mark this collaboration, IWC rolled out the Inegieur Chronograph Racer in stainless steel with the F1 racing car on the case back.
This gorgeous piece measures 45mm in diameter with one of the most striking silver-plated dial with blue raised markers and skeletonized hands, fitted with luminova including those on the seconds and chrono register. Fitted on the super comfortable rubber strap with leather alligator inlays.

The red 60 marker was inspired by the digital display on the steering wheel of the Mercedes AMG Patronas Formula One Team racing car.

The IWC Ingenieur Chronograph Racer is powered by one of the most efficient self-winding automatic movements produced by IWC, the automatic flyback chronograph caliber 89361. This in-house movement provides 68 hour power reserve, date display, hour-minute-second chronograph display as well as a small seconds complication.
