Should I do the trade ?
Good day everyone,
I’m currently having dilemma whether or not to trade my RO Chrono 26331ST Black Dial for (Rolex GMT 126711CHNR + 5k to 7k) Really like the 126710BLRO but can’t justify the premium and its impossible for me to get it from an AD. Current Collection: 15500ST Blue Dial 116610LV Tudor Black Bay GMT The reason is that I felt I always choose 15500ST over 26331ST whenever I feel like wearing Royal Oak so it’s really not getting much wrist time and I felt the chrono is slightly hefty and I never used the chrono function once. Not really a suit guy so don’t really need a dress watch. Pretty much tee and jeans guy. Daily watch: Hulk & BB GMT Any comments or opinions will be much appreciated Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Oh boy, this is a good trade but as many would say;
Add to your collection what speaks to you. Especially if you are not planning on reading the Rolex any time soon. The Rolex will add another dimension to your collection for sure. Good luck with your decision, two nice pieces. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have a similar collection to yours, and me personally I wouldn’t do the trade.
The 126711CHNR is a nice two tone but if you already have a hulk + BB GMT it should suffice in the rotation. I think the 15500ST (15400 in my case) and the 26331ST are for different occasions, but hey do what your heart says Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'd do that since you already have one RO, and a blue one at that.

Should I do the trade ?
Do it.
- You have the RO, so there’s an AP in the stable and one that’s clearly the more preferred one for you. - The CHNR is a beauty. It’s classy, still rare in the wild, understated. Plus the cash is decent.

I’m also an advocate of less is more and I’d sell that chrono plus the Lv to get the full rg gmt

If you always choose the RO and the ROC doesn’t get wrist time for sure do the trade! Get whatever you want!

If you genuinely like the CHNR, I think everybody would agree this is a solid trade in terms of "value". However, you're losing some variety if that matters. You're losing your only Chronograph and adding a GMT which you already have with the Tudor. I rarely use the Chrono function so I get it, but I think it's a staple in any collection and works for both business casual and weekend casual.
I always thought I wanted the CHNR, and then I saw it in person and it just didn't do it for me. I was offered one recently and turned it down. I'm sure I'm crazy, but I always like two-tone watches in professional photos, but in person they never make me feel excited about them. At the end of the day, if it'll make you happy, do it. You certainly are not getting taken advantage of in any way assuming all watches are in excellent condition. |

Thanks very much for the solid advice !! Will give thoughts about it. Yes the chnr will be brand new while my Chrono will be a used 2018 watch though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Fair enough but imo the chnr is similarly flashy

TT CHNR is very beautiful and classy watch. You already have 15500st Blue dial which it looks very classy and you prefer over the chrono. I would let 126331st black dial and Tudor GMT go and save money for the next Pepsi that you want in the future.

Haha using the phrase “less is more” followed by a recommendation to go full gold bracelet is a funny contradiction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
