So I picked up a new Seiko SRPD79 a few weeks back and swapped out the crystal and bezel
I made a video of me doing the said work which may help anyone wanting to do the same https://youtu.be/u1LPbs6_FG0

I'm thinking now of replacing the second hand with a coloured one maybe yellow or red but not sure what do you guys think ?

Red or yellow would go nicely. I'm thinking yellow would be my preference. While you're in there, you might consider swapping movements to a nh36, which gives you hacking and hand winding.

I see that ref has a 4r36 movement. No need to swap.
