Traded 305 for 1305

My 305 was getting long in the tooth and running odd enough to indicate service was nigh upon it. I traded it, plus a few $, for a 1305. I like the look, and felt the new movement was worth pursuing. I note that the 1305 went through several iterations.

There is a version with just the blue second hand, one with some blue lettering on the dial. One with a sapphire caseback and one with a solid one. Mine is the latest version, and I am pleased with it. Goes well on the blue shark strap too!

Nice move, I really like the display back, thicker lugs and thicker case of the 305 but I think the movement got a good update and the face looks better with the blue accents and white lume in the 1305. All things equal, is be happy with either but my 1305 isn't going anywhere. Titanium just seems so appropriate on a dive watch given the corrosion resistance.

Thanks you for the kind comments! It seems to weigh nothing on the wrist, similar to my 176 which I also love dearly. And of course the straps.....

I bought my 1st expensive watch in Feb. A Panerai 1305, new model like yours...

Really do like it and it does wear lighter than it looks!

I have the orange rubber strap, the black rubber with blue logo, and the plain black rubber. Probably will get the khaki color rubber soon...
