"BIGGEST" Weightloss JUST BECAUSE..!

Tooting my whistle again but its coming up on 12 years that I have became a fat free that was a lazy slob that drank beer, margaritas and 60 OZ porterhouse steaks. Tipping the scales pretty close to 275LBS when I was 54 years old. Today and the last 11 1/2 years I now weight 152LBS with no plus and some minus depending my cycling routine while on The Emerald Isle.. 275lbs with a 44 inch waist with no high blood pressure, no cholesterol and no diabetes or zero issues except being a "FAT PORKER".. When one sets his mind to something ,it can be done with lots of determination and mega will power. Having now logged over 75,000 miles on a bicycle and meat free for 12 years, I feel that I have surely extended my healthy and productive years considerably. Yes do have pictures to prove it and on my anniversary I put those 44 jeans and shirt on that use to be bulging on me..

Anyone else do a drastic weight change and i do not mean stomach butchering ,etc etc etc... I dropped about 125lbs and not put on one single pound.. What is your excuse..? :)

Congratulations on your dedication Marine!

I was once told that we all have a predetermined age at which we will die. It's just a matter of how healthy you can keep yourself until that time.

Seems like your doing a great job of it.

"BIGGEST" Weightloss JUST BECAUSE..!

Went from 205lbs to 140lbs. This was 8 years ago, and it took me around a year to drop that weight.

Now at 154 after a bad crash and subsequent surgery late last year left me with reduced activity. Slowly starting to get more active and starting to drop flab.

Losing all that weight changed my life.

Congrats on hitting your goals!

I've remained pretty much the same weight for the last 35 years.

Very true. Maintaining a consistent weight throughout life and a full head of hair at 61 all comes down to how much time I spent choosing my parents.

That’s one heck of a transformation! I can sort of relate. I was 235lbs around 28% bodyfat. I was miserable and felt like crap most of the time. I got serious about diet and a good lifting routine and went from 235 to 190 in 3 months. Though my gym time has suffered since the pandemic started I’m still fairly lean. Here is a before and after. Warning:::: shirtless.

I was 290 around senior year of high school and dropped down to 205 by college graduation. Spent too much time in high school smoking pot and eating fast food and carbs.

Can’t say I’ve been consistent, after meeting my wife I managed to creep back up to 250 drinking craft beer and eating out 3 times a week... but corona has made me re-evaluate my health and I’m down to 224 currently with a goal of 205 and hopefully lower. I’m 6’3” but no excuses.

6" 135lbs here, long distance runner. But still very young (26), so might gain some over the years. Definitely want to gain a bit of muscle in the upper body...

when 26 I also was skinny as a rail but great food, fat and happy drinking lots of beer made me a FAT PORKER. It did not happen over night but the more that went on, the easier it was to add more..:)

this is me and the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka's son on a charity ride of 275 miles across the Isle of Sri Lanka in extreme adverse heat and humidity condition that never in my wildest dreams would have thought possible when I was a "FAT PORKER" with every lame excuse in the book..:)

you actually look healthier in the older pictures.

I bet a balance between the two might be a good thing.

do you realize how many people you might be insulting by saying that?

and you continue to say it.

fitness has always been important to me. To many of my friends, it is not. And it never will be. That does not mean they should be insulted.

I am dismayed by the level of insensitivity.

Well done mate! As you say, it took immense will power, and , I suspect a lot of support and encouragement from your lovely wife.

It's an easy equation, isn't it. Calories consumed over calories used.

Your daily diet must be interesting, with all that mileage.
Care to share?
