Seiko King Turtle
Hi guys,
Does anyone own a Seiko King Turtle? What is your ownership experience? I am looking at the black dial version. It's upgraded with Sapphire and ceramic bezel and also supposedly a better bezel turn action. I believed the reference is SRPE03K1. This one : Photo credits : from instagram : ray_deen Curious to know also if the improvement over normal Seiko Turtles are significant. I already own a blue lagoon and save the ocean blue turtles, but they don't come with the upgrades in this refernece. Thanks in advance.

I don't own a King Turtle but I've modded my standard Turtle with those upgrades. The waffle dial and elongated cyclops of the KT being the other differences.
If you like the reissue Turtle you'd probably be happy with the King Turtle as well. dP

I like the sapphire crystal upgrade. It scratches less easily and I believe that it adds to the visual appeal of the watch face.

I have 2 of the SRP Turtles which I wear often. But the King Turtle looks great, and I plan to get one later this year.

The hardlex crystal on my two year old SRP773 has been scratch free. The crystal is flat, which I like. I personally have no problem with it. There’s times you don’t even see the crystal.

Wow, that looks nice on a strap, I've only seen them so far on the bracelet. I think I might need one of those now. This is the KT I got right after they came out. I also have the "Great White" regular turtle: In my opinion, the "upgrades" are worth it. However, in saying that, I take nothing away from the regular turtles. They are one of my all-time favorite watches and I am happy to have versions of both models. |

I own all three of the King Turtles and they are great watches. The dials are a lot of fun and the upgrades make a great watch even better.

Which is your favourite? I am trying to decide between black and green. Blue has been sold out.

Of the black and green it would be the green as I have numerous other black dial watches. The blue is my favorite though and I put the strap from the Nemo on it and it matches the blue perfectly. I would source the blue, several online sites have it in stock and I would buy the green Arnie. Just my thoughts.

Tried all three and all very nice but personally I much prefer the black dial and they’re certainly a step up in quality. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
